Manor House - A series on PBS that aired a few months ago that recreates life in the 19th century for servants.  A very nice glimpse "below the stairs."

Masters and Servants - a reality show series on British TV about a family who moves in with the other to be servants to the other family for a week.

Miss Abernathys Concise Slave Training Manual by Christina Abernathy - on how to train a slave including areas in the book specific to service in a slave.

Roberts' Guide for Butlers and Household Staff by Robert Roberts - a book on how to do a variety of household types of things (from cleaning silver to waiting on /observing people during meals).  Very handy to have as a resource.

Butlers & Household Managers by Steven Ferry - a wonderful book who's value is primarily in the appendices and the multiple forms that are very handy if you are providing service to a new person, managing a household, or planning any sort of formal events ranging from afternoon tea to a full seven course formal dinner.  Handy for any position, but in particular a butler position in a household.

 

 

 

Rose: My life in Service by Rosina Harrison - a non BDSM book of a servants memoirs.

The Marketplace Series by Laura Antoniou - a fictional series of books dealing with a consortium of people who train, sell, and purchase servants.  A must read!

The Servants Quarterly - the only place I can find this magazine is QSM.
